
Demand for cybersecurity professionals in Minnesota is expected to grow faster than other positions. Cybersecurity professionals are critical to organizational growth and success and employers are seeking them.
The MN Cyber Career Expo is for high-tech employers to meet with students from MN Cyber Academy, Metropolitan State University, Minnesota State and DEED registered IT-Trained Veterans.

Recruiting companies and employers expected to attend include: 3M, Ameriprise Financial, Experis, Mayo Clinic, Metropolitan Council, Protocol 46, RSM US LLP, State of Minnesota IT Services, Target Corporation, UnitedHealth Group, US Bank, and Xcel Energy.
The MN Cyber Academy in St. Paul Minnesota, provides candidates with the skills, knowledge and credentials required to successfully begin or advance a career in the fields of Information Technology and Cybersecurity. This program was designed by Metropolitan State University, Minnesota IT Center of Excellence in collaboration with senior executives and technical staff from the Department of Defense, leading Government Contractors, and Fortune 500 companies. Jobs that require cybersecurity know-how have a range of titles. The most common, according to the SANS Institute Cybersecurity Professional Trends survey, are Security Analyst, Security Engineer or Architect, Security/IT Director or Manager, CISO/CSO, Systems Administrator, Network Architect or Engineer, Forensics Investigator, Auditor, Systems Engineer or Integrator, among quite a few other roles.
