Fare For All, a local non-profit food program created to make fresh fruits and vegetables and frozen meats more affordable will be selling their annual Steak Boxes at Central Square Community Center on Tuesday June 26th from 4:00pm -6:00pm. Each box will contain eight 6 ounce individually wrapped boneless skirt steaks and will sell for $16.00. There is a limit of one box per household. The program sells packages of fresh produce and frozen meat at up to 40% off retail prices and is open to everyone who is looking to save money. There are no forms to complete and cash, credit, debit and EBT cards are all accepted. 

As an added incentive, all those coming for Fare For All can also visit the Shoe Bus. Fare For All has teamed with Good in the Hood to support their Shoe Away Hunger Campaign. Gently used shoes will be available for purchase for everyone. Adult shoes will cost $5.00 and children’s shoes go for $2.00 with a maximum of 10 pair’s total. Everyone is welcome and there is no need to register. All proceeds go directly to the purchase of food for food shelves. Shoe donations are accepted as well.
